A little history...

Faith Church began as Bright Clouds Christian Church in the summer of 1983 starting in a large house at the corner of Main and South Streets in Danbury. As the years passed, the ministry moved to several locations as its growth demanded larger quarters.

In 1991, the ministry moved from a movie theater in Bethel to a new facility on Clapboard Ridge Road in Danbury. A second and larger sanctuary was completed in 1998, and it was clear that the ministry's growth would soon require a larger property for the burgeoning church. Plans to scout for a new location began and as the vision grew, so did the church.

In June 2000, a Stewardship Campaign was launched to build a new Family and Community Life Center, and eventually the ministry purchased a property in New Milford. It seemed fitting and right to express this new mandate with a name change. So, on January 1, 2004, Bright Clouds Ministries became Faith Ministries, Inc. Since then, New Hope Christian Academy has undergone a name change as well. The grammar school changed its name to Faith Academy and the high school is now called Faith Preparatory School. The congregation grew to 1500 members and the staff increased to 42 by early 2005.

In June 2005, the dream of a new Family and Community Life Center became a reality and the New Milford home of Faith Ministries was completed. What once could only be seen with the eyes of faith was now a testimony of the power of faith in God.

Though the journey thus far has been filled with tremendous expectation, it is the journey yet ahead that we anticipate with even greater excitement. We are a purpose-driven church with a vision to impact our community by helping people fulfill their personal destinies by discovering the winner within them through a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is with the eyes of faith that we see souls coming into the Kingdom of God, we see the sick being healed in His Name, and we believe that signs and wonders will manifest to confirm God's Word.
